Kevin Harlan Gives Dramatic Call As Idiot Runs On Field During San Francisco 49ers Win

SANTA CLARA, Calif. (AP) - Radio announcer Kevin Harlan used a fan who ran onto the field to spice up his call of Monday night's game between the Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers, offering spirited play-by-play commentary as security chased down the fan.

The Westwood One announcer enthusiastically jumped into action when the fan ran onto the field with the 49ers holding a 21-0 lead in the fourth quarter, calling out the fan's movements like he would a long touchdown run before finishing with "they tackle him at the 40-yard line" when security finally caught up.

"Hey somebody's run out on the field. Some goofball in a hat and a red shirt. Now he takes off the shirt! He's running down the middle by the 50. He's at the 30. He's bare-chested and banging his chest—guy runs the opposite way! He's at the 50. He runs to the 40. This guy is drunk, but there he goes! The 20. They're chasing him. They're not going to get him! Waving his arms, bare-chested! Somebody stop that man! (Look out, here come the blue coats) Oh they got him! They're coming from the left. Oh they tackle him at the 40-yard line!"

Referring to the 49ers blowout, Harlan called the moment "the most exciting thing to happen tonight."

The announcer may be right. His call of the action has become a trending topic on Twitter.
