Kaepernick Responds To 'Suspicious Incident' Investigation
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS13) – San Francisco 49ers star Colin Kaepernick took to Twitter Friday morning to respond to reports that he had been named in a "suspicious incident" investigation.
TMZ.com first reported the story, characterizing an April 1 incident at a Miami apartment as a possible sexual assault investigation.
Kaepernick wrote, over a series of three tweets:
(1/3) The charges made in the TMZ story and other stories I've seen are completely wrong. They make things up about me that never happened.

(2/3) I take great pride in who I am and what I do, but I guess sometimes you have to deal with someone who makes things up.
— Colin Kaepernick (@Kaepernick7) April 11, 2014
(3/3) I want to thank all of the people who have shared their encouraging sentiments. I assure you that your faith is not misplaced.

The Miami Police report characterizes the event only as a "suspicious incident" investigation, and no charges have been filed against Kaepernick or the two other NFL players named in the report.
