Jed Lowrie To Go Back To Oakland A's

The Oakland Athletics reacquired Jed Lowrie from the Houston Astros, the club announced Wednesday morning. Lowrie was traded for minor league right-handed pitcher, Brendan McCurry.

A switch hitter, Lowrie hit .222 with 9 home runs and and 30 RBI, playing 69 games with the Astros in 2015. He was out for 3 months after tearing a ligament in his right thumb.

McCurry, who was selected by the A's in the 22nd round in the 2014 draft, is 3-3 with 29 saves and a 1.37 ERA in 67 career appearances in two seasons.
