Is This You? Gas Station Surveillance Video Reveals Stockton's Latest Lottery Millionaire
STOCKTON (CBS13) — There's a new millionaire in Stockton who may not even know they won yet.
A Stockton's Parkwoods Gas and Food on Hammer Lane, there was excitement and mystery in the air on Thursday.
They don't have a name, but the gas station showed CBS13 surveillance video of the woman they are sure is the lucky lottery winner. We've blurred her face to protect her identity until she comes forward.
The owner, Jesse Tiwana, says she's the only one who bought a ticket around the time the winning ticket was purchased at 3:47 p.m. on Wednesday.
"I would be dancing, tell you the truth, I would be dancing," he said. "$11 million? Can't complain about that."
The mystery millionaire looks vaguely familiar to Tiwana, possibly a regular.
"She looks like she's been here before because she knew right where to go," he said.
The lump sum payout is about $6.5 million before federal taxes. For selling the winning ticket, the gas station gets $55,000. That's money they hope will help expand the station.
