'Impatient Resident' Blows Through Road Closure In King Fire Area
EL DORADO COUNTY (CBS13) – Authorities say that an impatient resident blew through the road closure in the King Fire area Wednesday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol's Placerville division, the resident disobeyed an officer and drove through a closed area, sparking a chase that lasted from the Mosquito Bridge to Swansboro.
The driver was eventually arrested, CHP says.
Numerous agencies – including the El Dorado County Sheriff's Office, Folsom Police, the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department and a CHP Valley Air Ops unit – helped in the chase.
Authorities have not identified the driver at this time.
