Northbound I-5 lane in Sacramento County reopens after sinkhole

SACRAMENTO COUNTY - A lane on northbound Interstate 5 was closed in Sacramento County due to a sinkhole Friday night, Caltrans District 10 said. 

The sinkhole was in the second lane north of Twin Cities Road, where Caltrans had closed the lane. The lane reopened Saturday morning.

Caltrans said traffic was backed up to Thornton Road.

It's unknown how large the sinkhole is.
