283-Acre Hollow Fire Burning Southwest Of Tracy, 50% Contained

8:30 p.m. Update: Firefighters said the Hollow Fire is now 50% contained.

Cal Fire reduced the acreage to 283 acres due to better mapping.

Firefighters will remain on the lines throughout the night and into Thursday.

6:20 p.m. Update: Cal Fire said the fire is now 500+ acres and 30% contained.

TRACY (CBS13) — A vegetation fire, dubbed the Hollow Fire, is burning off West Corral Hollow Road in the Carnegie State Vehicular Recreational Area, southwest of Tracy, according to Cal Fire.

Firefighters estimate the fire has burned 350 acres and is now 20% contained, but said the fire is still actively burning.

Air and ground resources are responding to the fire.  Cal Fire SCU said the terrain is causing firefighters some difficulties.
