Logging truck rollover crash forces hours-long closure of Highway 193 in Placer County
GOLD HILL – Highway 193 in Placer County was closed Thursday morning and into the afternoon after a logging truck overturned, officials said.
The highway was closed in both directions between Gold Hill Road and Dutch Ravine Lane, which connects Newcastle to Gold Hill and also Lincoln.
The CHP Auburn said the crash happened when the truck with a load full of logs was traveling west and overturned while driving around a curve around 9:40 a.m.

No injuries were reported and the highway reopened shortly before 2 p.m., the CHP said.
