Google: Super Tuesday Sees Record Spike In 'Move To Canada' Search

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS13) – Does this election season have you thinking about moving to Canada? You're not alone.

According to data from Google Trends, search interest in "move to Canada" spiked on Super Tuesday, besting its other highest spike back in November 2004.

What happened on the day of the previous biggest spike? Google says it was when George W. Bush won reelection.

As you can see on the graph, searches for "move to Canada" also had a much less substantial (but still noticeable) spike much more recently: November 2012. While Google didn't say exactly what day that spike occurred, the timing lines up to when Barack Obama was reelected.
