Girlfriend Of Stockton Bank Robbery Suspect Arrested For DUI
STOCKTON (CBS13) – The girlfriend of a bank robbery suspect killed in the Stockton hostage shootout is now facing her own legal trouble.
Stockton police confirm Gilbert Renteria's girlfriend, Angelica Tovar, is facing charges including a DUI charge after a single-car crash last night.
Jail records show Tovar was released from San Joaquin County Jail earlier Sunday.
Her boyfriend – and father of her children – Gilbert Renteria was one of the suspects who Stockton police say led them on a chase that ended in a wild shootout last summer.
Tovar's arrest comes one week after she made headlines for taking a ride-along with Stockton firefighters.
Firefighters demanded an investigation after she was granted a ride-along with them, as part her certified EMT training.
