Suspected Carjacker Killed In Crash On Highway 99 In Galt

GALT (CBS13) — A portion of southbound Highway 99 in Sacramento County is back open after a deadly crash overnight.
The incident happened near Elm Avenue in the Galt area.
According to California Highway Patrol, it started with the carjacking of a pickup truck near 47th Avenue in Sacramento.
Officers say the suspect, who was the only person in the truck, was killed in the crash.
Exactly what led up to the crash is unclear.
