Former UC Davis assistant water polo coach sentenced for child porn charges
SACRAMENTO – A former UC Davis assistant water polo coach was sentenced to more than seven years in prison after he pled guilty to charges relating to distributing child pornography earlier this year, federal prosecutors announced Friday.
Daniel Noble, a 28-year-old who has been living in San Diego, pled guilty in June to sharing videos in a Kik private group chat that is dedicated to sharing videos of child pornography, prosecutors said. He shared more than 20 videos in the Kik group.
At the time of distributing the videos in March and April of 2022, prosecutors said he was working as an assistant water polo coach for the UC Davis men's team and the associated youth team.
Noble's sentencing is seven years and three months. He was also ordered to pay $20,000 in restitution to the victims.
