Fire near Dutch Flat grows to 48 acres and is 65% contained

PLACER COUNTY -- The fire burning right off Interstate 80 east of Dutch Flat has grown to 48 acres and is 65 percent contained. 

There were some evacuations ordered as a result, but those orders have since been lifted, the sheriff's department says. 

Interstate 80 was completely closed as well; however, all lanes are back open. 

The fire is separate from the Mosquito Fire, which started near the Oxbow Reservoir on September 6 and has burned nearly 68,000 acres as of Thursday.
