Crews Discover Suspected Marijuana Grow While Fighting Fire At Elk Grove Home
ELK GROVE (CBS13) – A fire ripped through a home in Elk Grove overnight, but it is what crews found after the flames were out that has police now investigating the scene.
The fire started around midnight Thursday at a home along Springridge Way, near Big Horn Boulevard.
When fire crews were fighting the flames inside the home, they came across what appeared to be a marijuana growing operation in the upstairs portion of the home.
The two people living the home were found safe outside.
Fire crews and Elk Grove police are still investigating the cause of the fire and are looking into the grow operation.
