Fire Along American River Latest In String Of Suspicious Fires

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - Fire crews fought a grass fire that threatened a building along the American River on Tuesday morning.

The fire burned vegetation in the area of 500 Bercut Drive, which is near the now-vacant Rusty Duck Restaurant and Saloon.

Flames were reportedly as tall as the building.

This fire is the latest in a series of fires along the river bike trails over the past few days.

Authorities say the fire appears to be suspicious.
