Bicyclist dies after crash in North Natomas

SACRAMENTO – A deadly collision had several roads in North Natomas blocked on Tuesday.

The scene was near the intersection of Club Center and Banfield drives. A bicyclist was struck by a vehicle, but it's unclear what led up to the collision.

Sacramento police confirmed that the bicyclist was taken to the hospital, but then later died from their injuries. 

The name of the bicyclist has not been released. 

In a statement from Sacramento City Councilmember Lisa Kaplan, who represents the area where the collision happened, she said her office was aware of the incident. 

"Please drive, bike & walk safely as there has been 3 deaths in the city these past 24 hours between vehicles & bike/ walkers," Kaplan said.

Neither drugs nor alcohol were factors in the crash, police say.
