Elk Grove Woman Accused Of Stealing Over $129K From Mother

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - A woman is under arrest, accused of embezzling over $129,000 from her 85-year-old mother's trust funds.

Police say 62-year-old Christine Ann Cooper of Elk Grove is the trustee of her mother's funds. And over the course of nine years, Cooper allegedly wrote checks to herself and falsified accounts to conceal her actions.

Rocklin police detectives arrested Cooper at her workplace in Sacramento on Tuesday morning. She was taken to the Placer Jail where she was booked on charges of elder abuse, embezzlement and forgery.
