Search For Suspect In Elk Grove Results In Three Arrests, Police Say

ELK GROVE (CBS13) – The Elk Grove Police Department said a search for a suspect in the area of Laguna Boulevard and Bruceville Road has resulted in three arrests.

Elk Grove police said all three individuals are believed to be involved in the same drug deal gone wrong. Two people reportedly pulled into a parking lot Thursday night to make a drug deal with two suspects. One victim got out of their car and into the drug dealer's car. That's when the drug dealer reportedly pulled out a gun that the victim took and ran away.

Officials said the drug dealer ran after the victim and the second suspect got into the victim's car and flipped it.

The identities of the individuals were not released.

No one was injured in the incident.

Police initially said in a series of tweets Thursday night that they were searching for a single suspect, who was described as a white male adult wearing black jeans, a dark hooded sweatshirt and red shoes.

Police said a K9 and air unit assisted with the search.
