El Dorado County Deputy Arrested For 3rd DUI
SHINGLE SPRINGS (CBS13) – An El Dorado County sheriff's deputy already on administrative leave has been arrested for the third time on suspicion of DUI.
According to the El Dorado County Sheriff's Office, California Highway Patrol officers responded to an accident in Shingle Springs on Friday. John Anthony Broadfoot, a deputy with the department, was arrested at the scene.
Broadfoot had been arrested two other times recently, Dec. 8 and Feb. 25, on suspicion of DUI. Both arrests happened in El Dorado County.
The department notes that Broadfoot was put on paid administrative leave after his Dec. 8 arrest.
Broadfoot posted bail on Monday after his Friday arrest and has been released from jail.
CHP is handling the investigation into Broadfoot.
