Dozens Of Homes In Vacaville Still Threatened By Sky Fire

VACAVILLE (CBS13) — Dozens of homes are still being threatened by the Sky Fire in Vacaville.

The fire began Monday, and as of 7 a.m. Tuesday, it had grown to 150 acres and was 60 percent contained. Hundreds of firefighters were working at the fire.

Fire officials tell CBS13 that containment lines that were created overnight were effective in keeping the fire from spreading. Also helping firefighters was the absence of Delta breezes.

The fire was caused by a truck that overheated, caught fire and caused nearby vegetation to catch fire.
