Downtown Sacramento's ice rink to open for the season on Wednesday

SACRAMENTO – It's a sign of the season. The Downtown Sacramento Ice Rink is set to open for the season on Wednesday.

Like in years past, the ice rink will be located at 7th and K streets right next to DOCO and the Golden 1 Center.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony is set to happen at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. The rink will then open at 2 p.m. to the public.

Admission will be only $2 for opening day. After that, general admission will be $15, with kids 6 and under just $8. Skate rental is included with admission.

The ice rink will be open Tuesdays through Thursdays from 2 to 9 p.m., and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Fridays through Sundays.
