Man's body found days after canoe flips at Donner Lake

TRUCKEE – A man's body was recovered from Donner Lake days after he went missing when a canoe he was in flipped, police said on Saturday.

The report came in around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday that two men flipped over in a canoe on Donner Lake, the Truckee Police Department said. 

A person in a kayak was able to save one man, but the other man went missing after he went underwater. 

The Truckee Police Department, which led the search, said Saturday the man's body had been recovered.  He was identified on Monday as Dominic Adrian Rossetti-Garrett, 30, a resident of Reno, Nevada.

Multiple Northern California agencies helped the Truckee Police Department in the search.
