Boat Capsizes At Folsom Lake, 4 Missing
FOLSOM LAKE (CBS13) – Four men are missing after a boat capsized at Folsom Lake, Placer Sheriff's officials say.
Authorities were alerted to the incident a little before 2 p.m. Saturday. Placer County Sheriff's Deputies, along with the South Placer Fire District, State Parks and the El Dorado County Sheriff's Office were soon called to the scene, helping in the search for the men.
The three men haven't been seen since their boat capsized.
Windy weather causing choppy water on the lake complicated rescue efforts for a time Saturday afternoon.
It is unclear at this time why the boat overturned.
State Parks Officer Ryan Steele tells CBS13 that crews have stopped all recovery efforts for the day. Crews will be back out Sunday morning at 7 with a dive team to try and find the missing men.
