Emailed bomb threat prompts shelter-in-place at Davis middle school
DAVIS – A middle school in Davis was sheltering-in-place due to a bomb threat situation Thursday morning.
An alert sent out by the Davis Joint Unified School District said that officials were investigating a bomb threat that was received by email. Staff immediately contacted Davis police after getting the threat.
All students and staff are safe, the district says.
After an investigation by police and the officials, the district says they have determined the campus is safe. The shelter-in-place has now been lifted.

"Each time a threat is received on a school campus, staff immediately contact the DPD to investigate, and we determine our response by analyzing the content, context and specifics of the threat," the district said in a statement on the situation.
It's not clear who is behind the threat.
Several Davis schools have been dealing with a series of bomb threats in recent months.
