Detectives Investigating Homicide In Rancho Cordova
RANCHO CORDOVA (CBS13) – Authorities are investigating a homicide in Rancho Cordova Friday morning.
The scene is near Egmont Way and Viking Drive.
According to the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department, someone spotted a possibly unconscious man in the area round 7:15 a.m. Once at the scene, deputies found the unresponsive man. Medical personnel soon pronounced him dead.
Detectives are classifying the incident as a homicide and they believe the man was shot. No witnesses to the incident have been identified and a motive has not been established.
The victim has only been identified as man in his 40s.
