4-month-old abducted in San Joaquin County found safe, suspect arrested, deputies say

SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY - A 4-month-old boy is safe after authorities say he was abducted from a San Joaquin County home Saturday afternoon, according to the Sacramento Sheriff's Office.

The San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office said it was looking for the 4-month-old and the suspect, 31-year-old Iasiah Reginal Michael Teague.

Deputies said Teague is suspected of abducting the child from the child's home on Mokelumne Avenue in Thorton.

Officers with the Sacramento Police Department spotted Teague's vehicle on Interstate 80 in Sacramento and tried to pull him over. Deputies said the officers canceled the pursuit for the safety of the public.

Deputies with the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office found Teague's vehicle abandoned near a business at Aurbun Boulevard and Interstate 80 shortly after. They said Teague was found walking in a field nearby.

Teague was arrested and booked into jail.

The baby was found safe and unharmed. He was reunited with a family member in South Sacramento.
