Deputies: Man Shoots Coworker In Rancho Cordova
SACRAMENTO COUNTY (CBS13) – Deputies say that a man shot his coworker at Tru Green Land Care in Rancho Cordova Thursday morning.
An argument between the two preceded the shooting, deputies say. The victim, identified as a 44-year-old man, was taken to the hospital with life threatening injuries.
The shooting suspect has been identified as 52-year-old Cristobal Chavez. A photo of Chavez' car was released by authorities and, around noon Thursday, authorities announced that Chavez had been arrested.
"The employees are very shocked, I think any of us coming to work on any given day ... don't expect to hear arguing or any type of altercation, but especially gunshots and seeing one of their coworkers on the ground with gunshot wounds," Lisa Bowman with the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department said.
Authorities say they have recovered the gun used in the shooting.
