Deputies investigate double shooting in south Sacramento area
SACRAMENTO — Authorities are investigating after two people were shot in the south Sacramento area Tuesday evening.
It happened at around 7:15 p.m. in the area of Gerber and Power Inn Roads.
The Sacramento County Sheriff's Office only described the victims as men and known gang members. Deputies responded to a report of the shooting and found both men inside a vehicle with gunshot wounds.
Investigators said it appeared a suspect followed them and then pulled up alongside them before opening fire into the vehicle.
No arrests have been made. Both victims are expected to survive.
