Man, 2 children found dead after Central California house fire

DELHI – A man, two children, and a dog were found dead after a house fire in Central California early Wednesday morning, authorities say.

The Merced County Sheriff's Office says first responders were called to the home near Sands Road and 3rd Street in the community of Delhi and found that the place was engulfed in flames.

That's when the victims were discovered inside the home, the sheriff's office says.

Authorities have not released the identities of the people who were found dead.

Exactly what started the fire is still under investigation.

Delhi is a Merced County community just south of Turlock in Stanislaus County.
