Pedestrian killed in hit-and-run on I-205 off-ramp in Tracy

TRACY – An investigation is underway after a deadly hit-and-run in Tracy on Monday morning.

The crash was first reported a little after 6 a.m. along the Tracy Boulevard off-ramp from westbound Interstate 205.

California Highway Patrol says they initially got a report about a body on the left shoulder of the off-ramp. Officers determined that the person had been struck by an unknown vehicle that left the scene. 

Investigators believe the suspect fled westbound on the Tracy Boulevard off-ramp, but no description has been released. 

The off-ramp was closed for most of the morning.
