Body Found Floating In Rancho Cordova Drainage Pond
RANCHO CORDOVA (CBS13) - A body has been found floating in a Rancho Cordova drainage pond.
The Sacramento County Sheriff's Department received a call at 12:15 p.m. Thursday reporting that a body was possibly floating in the draining pond near north Mather Boulevard and Spoto Drive, according a sheriff's department spokesperson.
When deputies arrived, they found the gate to the grounds were locked, but determined it was a body. They have not yet been able to get close enough to the body to determine how the person died.
If deputies determine the cause of death to be suspicious, they will turn the investigation over to homicide detectives.
