Police investigate stabbing at Terracina apartments in Davis

Married couple at center of stabbing investigation in Davis

DAVIS — A stabbing investigation was underway at a Davis apartment complex on Saturday.

It happened shortly before 3:45 p.m. at the Terracina At Wildhorse apartments on Moore Boulevard, near the Wildhorse Golf Club.

The Davis Police Department confirmed to CBS13 that the incident occurred between a married couple. The male victim was stabbed with a knife and was taken to a local hospital. The female victim was also taken to the hospital with injuries.

Investigators said two children were inside the apartment at the time of the incident but were uninjured.

Residents in the area who saw the commotion taking place say this amount of police activity is uncommon to see.

"I'm nervous and surprised because this doesn't happen, not here," said a resident named Cathy.

Davis police said the woman was cooperating with them.

Earlier this year, the Davis community was rocked by a series of stabbings that claimed the lives of two people and left another victim hospitalized. The suspect in those stabbings was former UC Davis student Carlos Dominguez, who has since been arrested and charged.
