CSU Faculty Union Authorities Strike If Negotiations Fall Through
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) - California State University faculty have overwhelmingly voted to authorize a strike.
The results of the vote by the California Faculty Association were revealed on Wednesday. According to the union's president, 94.4 percent voted to authorize the strike.

More than 25,000 teachers, librarians, counselors and coaches are represented by the California Faculty Association.
The strike vote puts pressure on California State University to reach an agreement with the union, as the two sides have been in salary talks since May. The sticking point is a 5 percent raise faculty has been demanding; CSU continues to stay firm in only a 2 percent raise.
If an agreement is not met in the next few months, the strike vote means faculty will be walking out.
