Crews Deem Fire At Elk Grove House Accidental
ELK GROVE (CBS13) – An Elk Grove family of four lost everything after their home caught fire early Friday morning.
The family says that they had just got home from vacation and had put their kids to bed when they heard a big boom at their Crucero Drive house. The next thing they saw was smoke filling up inside the home.
The parents then woke up their kids and got to safety.
Investigators believe the fire started in the garage and have deemed the cause accidental.
The wife ended up collapsing because of the stress of the situation. She was put on a stretcher and taken to the hospital; there were no other injuries to report.
Crews say the house is a total loss.
