7 crashes occur over the last 24 hours on rain-slick I-80 in Placer County
PLACER COUNTY - Authorities warn drivers to slow down as they head up to the Sierra.
According to Cal Fire and the Placer County Fire Department, over the last 24 hours, emergency crews have responded to seven vehicle crashes and a commercial vehicle fire. All of the incidents happened on Interstate 80 between Nyack and Auburn.
Authorities warn drivers that the roads are slick, so they should adjust their driving accordingly, including slowing down.
