Fire at Tuolumne County mobile home park leaves 1 dead
COLUMBIA – One person has been found dead after a fire at a mobile home park in Tuolumne County Monday night.
The Tuolumne County Sheriff's Office says first responders were called to the Columbia Mobile Home Park on Parrotts Ferry Road just before 10 p.m. for a reported structure fire.
Callers also reported that people were possibly inside the home on fire, deputies say.
Authorities evacuated the surrounding structures and firefighters focused on the home on fire. One person at the scene was taken to hospital during the incident.
It was after the flames were under control that a man was found dead inside the home.
The man's identity has not been released.
Exactly what started the fire is under investigation.
