Christmas Crowds Force Disneyland To Close Its Gates Temporarily
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — The Happiest Place On Earth clashed with the most wonderful time of the year, creating the most disappointed families in Southern California on Friday.
Disneyland tweeted out on Friday afternoon that the Christmas crowds were so large, they had to stop admitting guests.
As an alternative, the theme park said people could go to California Adventure instead—after all, everyone plans their Christmas around a trip to California Adventure and all of its memorable rides.

But after nearly two hours, guests were allowed to re-enter the park.
Disney has not said whether California Adventure experienced the same issues during the brief closure.
