Officer injured in crash after driver fails to yield right of way in Roseville, CHP says

ROSEVILLE — A California Highway Patrol officer was injured in a crash in Roseville after a driver failed to yield the right of way, officials said Thursday.

According to the CHP, the collision happened shortly before 3:30 p.m. at Woodcreek Oaks and Blue Oaks boulevards.

The officer, who was riding a motorcycle, was traveling southbound on Woodcreek while another driver in a sedan was traveling northbound. When they both approached Blue Oaks, the other driver attempted to turn into a Safeway parking lot, directly in the path of the oncoming CHP officer.

The officer suffered minor injuries after colliding with the front passenger door of the sedan. He was hospitalized as a precautionary measure. No other injuries were reported.
