Child, 7, Seriously Injured; Mother Arrested For Attempted Homicide
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Police say a mother has been arrested on attempted homicide charges after her child was found seriously injured.
The incident happened Saturday afternoon, but few specific details are being released. Sacramento Police are saying they were called to a home along the 600 block of El Camino Avenue a little after 3 p.m. due to an alleged child abuse case.
At the scene, the officers found a seriously injured 7-year-old.
The child was taken to the hospital. Police have not released the child's current condition, nor have they detailed what specific injuries the child is suffering from.
Officers have arrested the child's mother. She is facing a charge of attempted homicide.
