California Woman Accused Of Driving Over Her Boyfriend, Killing Him

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Prosecutors have charged a 52-year-old woman with running over her boyfriend with her car and killing him at a Los Angeles County motel.

The district attorney's office says Sharon Kay Hood faces 26 years to life in prison if convicted of murder in connection with the Sunday killing in La Puente.

Prosecutors say a dispute in a motel room between Hood and her longtime boyfriend, Randolph Morales, spilled into the parking lot. Officials say at some point Hood got in her car and drove over Morales. The 51-year-old died at the scene.

Hood was arrested Sunday and is held in lieu of $2 million bail.

The Los Angeles Times reported Tuesday that arraignment is set for June 8. Her attorney could not be reached for comment.
