Cal Fire Pilot Dies Of Natural Causes While On Duty

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) - Flags will be flown at half-staff at the state capitol to honor a longtime Cal Fire helicopter pilot who died while on duty this week.

A California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection spokeswoman said 72-year-old Jerold Bonner was found dead inside his barracks Friday at the Alma Helitack base in Los Gatos.

Amy Head said Bonner died of natural causes.
