Broken Water Main Gushes For Hours On Rancho Cordova Street

RANCHO CORDOVA (CBS13) - A broken water main spewed water in a Rancho Cordova neighborhood for hours on Monday morning.
The incident happened on Ramsgate Way near Mather Field Road, just north of Highway 50. A resident says he awoke at 3 a.m. to find water gushing from the street in front of his home. He says he first noticed water bubbling out of the ground Sunday, but could not reach the water company.
Just before 8 a.m., crews were able to cap the break.
California America Water, the company that manages this water main, said it plans to review the incident and work with the city to ensure better service.
