Highway 50 Standoff Over, Suspect In Custody, All Lanes Open
UPDATE 5:16 p.m. — Caltrans says Highway 50 is now back open in both directions.
UPDATE 5:01 p.m. — Police tell CBS13's Shirin Rajaee the suspect is now in police custody. There is still no word yet as to when Highway 50 will be reopened.
UPDATE 4:59 p.m. — SWAT vehicles are now leaving the scene. The Ford Mustang is still on the scene.
UPDATE 4:22 p.m. — SWAT and multiple armored vehicles have arrived at the scene.

UPDATE 4:02 p.m. — We are getting our first video from the scene.
UPDATE 3:28 p.m. — We have a crew on the scene. The red Ford Mustang is the car police have stopped.
UPDATE 3:22 p.m. — Sacramento Police say this started at 1:20 p.m. with a call of a person armed with a firearm at Norwood near I-80.

UPDATE 2:50 p.m. — CBS13 has learned this began as a chase involving the Sacramento Police Department.
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — CHP says all traffic is being diverted off of eastbound Highway 50 at Watt and westbound on Highway 50 at Bradshaw for a traffic stop.
It is unknown when the highway will reopen.
