Boy, 13, Facing Manslaughter Charge For North Highlands Shooting

NORTH HIGHLANDS (CBS13) – Detectives have arrested a 13-year-old boy in connection to shooting that took a 20-year-old man's life Tuesday night.

The victim was standing with a group of men at an apartment complex in the 6800 block of Walerga Road in North Highlands when gunfire broke out, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff's Office.

Wednesday, detectives identified and arrested the 13-year-old - who is not being identified because he's a minor - on voluntary manslaughter, robbery and three counts of attempted robbery charges. He has been booked at the Sacramento County Youth Detention Facility.
