Body Of Female Found In American River Near Discovery Park

SACRAMENTO (CBS13) – Crews recovered the body of a woman in the American River Monday morning.
The scene is near Discovery Park.

Sacramento Fire says they received a report about a possible body in the water a little before 8 a.m.
Crews responding to the scene spotted the body and recovered the body. Authorities say it is the body of a female, but no other information about the person was available.
The incident remains under investigation.
