Sinking boat near confluence of Sacramento, American rivers found unoccupied
SACRAMENTO – Rescue swimmers responded to a sinking boat near the confluence of the Sacramento and American rivers.
Sacramento Fire crews are responding to the scene near Jibbom Street. To check if anyone was on board, officials said rescue swimmers were deployed in the water.
The boat was nearly fully submerged by about 9 a.m. It's unclear exactly when the boat started sinking.
Crews said no one was found inside the boat. The U.S. Coast Guard was called to the scene to remove the boat from the water.
