Blind, Deaf Man With Cerebral Palsy Murdered Outside South Sacramento Home
SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — Legally blind, partially deaf, walking with a limp, and stuttering while he spoke, Frank Knight posed no risk to anyone.
But Sacramento County Sheriff's investigators say someone gunned down the 58-year-old man as he shuffled from his apartment door to his ParaTransit stop before work on Monday morning.

"I really don't know why anyone would want to shoot someone like that," his neighbor, who didn't want to be named out of fear of retaliation, said.
Knight was born with cerebral palsy.
"He had the eyesight of Mr. Magoo, and shuffled along like E.T. and couldn't hear," his neighbor said. "That's probably what got him in trouble, but he was basically a prisoner in his own body."
Knight went to church every Sunday and worked at the Goodwill on Franklin Boulevard for more than 35 years, most recently as a greeter.
Colleagues like Lonnie Griffith are shaken up.
"It's going to be tough going to work and not seeing him every morning," she said.
Knight was hit by several gunshots. Deputies don't know if he was someone's target or if he got caught in a crossfire he never saw coming.
A man who persevered through his physical disabilities to live an independent life saw that life end outside his home at the hands of a gunman.
