Bibby, Webber To Be Honored Thursday; Williams Will Not Appear
The Sacramento Kings announced Tuesday in a press release that former point guard Mike Bibby will be the guest of honor during the Thursday, Nov. 20 game against the Chicago Bulls.
The game will be nationally-televised on TNT which means Chris Webber will also be in the building. The Kings will pay tribute to the Bibby and Webber duo of the early 2000s.
Jason Williams, another former point guard for the Kings, was originally supposed to be the guest of honor for the game, but he is now unable to appear.
"Sacramento has held a special place in my heart since I left and I can't imagine a better organization, city or group of fans to play for," said Williams in statement he released. "While I hoped to come join everyone out there this Thursday, unforeseen circumstances have interfered with my plans. I hope to see everyone in the near future and wish the Kings and their fans good luck going forward this season."
No date has been scheduled for Williams to return to Sacramento.
