Any little ones who fell in love with Mumble, the animated dancing penguin from "Happy Feet," will enjoy Fancy Feet. The academy teaches tap and other dance styles to children from age two through teens, and students on all experience levels are welcome. The introductory tap class includes fundamentals, terminology, class etiquette and some very basic steps. Since tap is a foundation for many other forms of dance, more advanced tap instruction is taught as part of ballet and jazz dance classes. The Sunrise District offers tap lessons at a dance studio in Rusch Community Park. Starting as young as age 3-1/2, youngsters can learn tap and ballet techniques during Saturday classes.
