If you want to leave a restaurant stuffed and satisfied with modern European food, The Fat Rabbit Public House will do just that. Their pierogies are simple, yet delicious. They only offer one type of pierogi, and it's stuffed with potato and cheddar with caramelized onions and sour cream on the side. Every order comes with five. And since The Fat Rabbit Public House is also a bar, you can wash your pierogies down with a pint of your favorite beverage.

Their specialty is sausage. Channeling its inner German beer hall experience, but amidst the happy hour menu offerings, is a pierogi sampler worth your while. It's your traditional pierogi, but what really brings out the flavors are all the dipping sauces you get. You get to try grune sosse (German green sauce), pimento, aioli, bier cheese and creamy garlic-chive to go with your pierogi. It would behoove you to order up a sausage and beer (or bier) to go along with your pierogis.

If you think Russian cuisine is nothing but potato dishes, you'd be pleasantly surprised as many of their dishes are influenced by their surrounding Slavic neighbors. If you want to try their pierogies, come in during their lunch time buffet which is every week on Tues.-Sun. from 11 am-4 pm. Their selection of dumplings includes a chicken dumpling with minced chicken, onion and sour cream, and their beef/pork dumplings have minced beef/pork and onion, also served with sour cream. And if you have any worries about the authenticity of their European offerings, don't worry. Rumor has it that it's like eating at Grandma's house all over again.

Rumor is that this local Polish club makes their own special pierogies everyday and keeps a sizable depository of frozen pierogies on hand anytime of the day. But if you want the fresh stuff, check out their website and get ready to attend one of their Sunday Meetings and dinners where there are sure to be plates of pierogies served. And if you're Polish, you can sign up to be a member. Once a year they hold an Annual Polish Festival where over 5,000 pierogies are ready for you to buy.
